Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Mila De Félix is a metalsmith and artist currently in her senior year at NYU Steinhardt, where she is pursuing a BFA in Studio Art. Now living and working in New York, her practice centers on jewelry design and metal fabrication, primarily in silver, using techniques such as wax carving, hand forging, and sand casting. Her work draws from Puerto Rican culture, natural textures, and Caribbean spiritual practices, exploring material as a way to carry memory, place, and belief.
